Playgroup cancelled today

Playgroup is cancelled today due to the rain.

Location Change

Due to the soggy ground and the chance of rain again tomorrow (May 1) - playgroup has been moved to Melissa Schroeder's house. We will still meet at 10 am. We will be also working on some baby blankets for donation or for expecting moms in our ward.

May Playgroup

1 – Sommer Park Playground – swings, slides, and sandbox.

8 – Touch A Truck at Peoria Stadium (on War Memorial). 10:00 am
Check back for meeting location if you want to meet up as a group…or feel free to come and go as you please.

15 – Safety Town Picnic – Bring bikes, cars, trikes or any toy plus your lunch for a picnic.

22 – Chartwell Park - Kite flying

29 – Forest Park Nature Center- meet at 9:30. We will be hiking down the trail and having the kids go for a nature scavenger hunt. (5809 N Forest Park Drive, Peoria Heights)

April Date Change

I'm just switching the next two activities. So the Easter Egg hunt is before Easter....I don't know what I was thinking when I planned the events.

10 – Easter Egg Hunt at the ChurchBring 5 eggs per child (filled with something) and a basket for your child/children to collect eggs

17 – Riverplex Preschool Splash at 10-11:30, $3 per child. Parents must accompany children in the water.

Kids: TRAINS....bring any toys to have a CHOO-riffic time. Bring any toys that pertain to the theme.

Bring 5 eggs per child (filled with something) and a basket for your child/children to collect eggs

24 – Games at Church (maybe outside if it is nice)

Kids: Coloring & Ride-on toys (bring your favorite ride-on toy & crayons)
I have printed coloring sheets for the kids to color on.

13 – Carrie Wood’s House 10 am

20 – Bubble Fun at the Church 10 am
Bring your bubbles and have fun!

27– Franciscan Rec. Complex – Motor Mites $2 per child



I've taken over for Brittney. Please let me know if there is anything you are interested in doing at playgroup. I'm going to try doing a craft project each month (sometimes for the moms and other times for the kids) - toally optional!

New playgroup leader needed!
